Kasey Privacy Policy
Kasey (“Kasey,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides personalized style, wardrobe, shopping, travel-packing, and related services through AskKasey.com and our related applications and services (collectively, the “Services”).
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Kasey, we may collect information you provide, including:
Account information, such as your email address and information used to create or manage your account.
My Mannequin information, including clothing and shoe sizes, fit preferences, body proportions or measurements you choose to provide, style preferences, preferred or avoided colors, brands, budget preferences, and other information you provide to personalize Kasey's recommendations.
My Closet information, including photographs or screenshots of clothing, accessories, or other items you own and information you choose to provide about those items, such as names, categories, brands, colors, sizes, fit notes, favorites, and other notes.
Images and requests, including photographs, screenshots, product images, inspiration images, prompts, questions, capsule requests, and other content you submit.
Feedback and preferences, including information you provide about recommendations, items, purchases, returns, fit, or preferences if and when those features are available.
Communications, including information you provide when contacting us.
Please do not upload images or other content that you do not have the right to provide to Kasey.
We may also automatically collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, pages or features used, interactions with the Services, referring pages, timestamps, diagnostic information, and similar usage information. We may use cookies, local storage, analytics technologies, and similar tools to provide, secure, understand, and improve the Services.
We may receive information from service providers and business partners that help us operate Kasey, including authentication, hosting, artificial intelligence, analytics, product-search, affiliate, retailer, travel, and other technology providers.
How We Use Information
We may use information to provide and operate Kasey; create and maintain accounts; personalize style, wardrobe, fit, capsule, travel-packing, and shopping recommendations; analyze images and other content; remember preferences and improve future recommendations; identify items or visible characteristics of clothing; help users make use of items they already own; provide product, retailer, travel, or other recommendations and links; improve, test, develop, and evaluate Kasey's features, models, prompts, systems, and user experience; understand use of the Services; measure performance; troubleshoot problems; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; communicate with users; comply with law; enforce our agreements; and create deidentified, aggregated, or statistical information.
Kasey may use artificial intelligence and automated systems to analyze information and generate recommendations. AI-generated recommendations may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be treated as guidance rather than guarantees.
AI Processing
Kasey uses artificial intelligence services to provide personalized recommendations and analyze content, including images and text.
Information necessary to respond to a request may be processed by third-party AI and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf. Depending on the feature, this may include prompts, relevant portions of My Mannequin, information about My Closet items, and images submitted or saved through the Services.
We seek to provide only information reasonably necessary to perform the requested function.
Kasey's analysis of an image may infer visible characteristics such as garment type, color, pattern, or silhouette. Unless supplied by the user, Kasey should not be understood to know characteristics that cannot reliably be determined from an image, such as exact measurements, fabric composition, brand, size, or actual fit.
Deidentified and Aggregated Information
We may create information derived from information collected through the Services that has been aggregated, deidentified, anonymized, or otherwise processed so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify or be linked to you or your household.
We may use this information for any lawful business purpose, including to operate, analyze, research, develop, improve, and commercialize Kasey and related products and services; understand style, wardrobe, shopping, fit, travel, and consumer trends; develop reports, analytics, benchmarks, insights, or statistical products; and conduct research.
We may disclose, license, or sell aggregated or deidentified information to third parties, including brands, retailers, researchers, business partners, or other organizations, provided the information is not reasonably capable of identifying or being linked to an individual or household.
Where required by applicable law, we will maintain qualifying information in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it, except as permitted by law to test or verify our deidentification processes. We may require recipients of deidentified information to maintain it in deidentified form and not attempt to reidentify individuals.
We do not sell your Closet photos, My Mannequin profile, individual prompts, or other information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you merely by labeling that information “anonymous.”
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including hosting, storage, authentication, artificial intelligence, analytics, security, communications, product search, affiliate technology, and other operational functions.
We may disclose information at your direction or when a feature requires interaction with a third party.
When you click a product, travel, or other affiliate link, the applicable retailer, affiliate network, travel provider, or other partner may receive information associated with that interaction.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; enforce our agreements; investigate fraud or abuse; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Kasey, our users, or others.
Information may also be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
We may use and disclose qualifying deidentified and aggregated information as described above.
We may provide additional disclosures or choices if our practices constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” targeted advertising, or another regulated activity under applicable privacy law.
Affiliate Links and Recommendations
Kasey may participate in affiliate programs. If you follow certain links or make a purchase or booking, Kasey may receive compensation.
Affiliate relationships do not determine how Kasey ranks or recommends products or services. Our goal is to provide recommendations based on factors relevant to your request, preferences, wardrobe, fit, budget, trip, and other available information.
Third-party retailers, travel providers, affiliate services, and other third parties have their own privacy policies and practices.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain accounts, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Services.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.
We may retain information that has been appropriately deidentified or aggregated and is no longer reasonably linkable to you.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may be able to review or modify certain information through your account, including My Mannequin and My Closet information.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account.
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain processing of personal information.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
Children's Privacy
Kasey is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Third-Party Services
Kasey may contain links to retailers, travel providers, affiliate partners, or other third-party websites and services. We do not control their privacy practices. Information you provide to a third party is governed by that third party's policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Kasey evolves. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. The Effective Date indicates when this Policy was last updated.
